I am super excited you stopped by. Let me just take a moment to introduce myself and my motivation for building this type of website. I love writing, video editing, and sharing with people. I love motivating and inspiring. That is probably why I am in the coaching profession.
I was born in Michigan many moons ago. I grew up in a conservative pastor’s family. Which means I was pretty much born and raised in the church. I was child number 3 of 4 (all sisters) and I grew up enjoying sports, annoying adults, hyper activity, music and chicken McNuggets (with sweet and sour sauce of course). It is safe to say that nothing has changed much in any of these passions.
When I was 14 years old, my life was rocked when my parents announced in no subtle terms that we as a family would move to Korea to be a missionary family. After 3 years of ________ (any positive and negative word will be true), I graduated from International Christian School- Uijeongbu. And thus begins what I call an extensive “college tour.”
I returned to Korea to pursue my new found goals of teaching, coaching and missions. That was years ago. And the journey that has led me from then to now is nothing short of incredible. During that period I have spent time as a social studies, Bible and PE teacher, coach and trainer (many sports), pastor, missionary, school principal, author, professional basketball player, referee, director and founder of a sports organization, and many other things (all in Asia).
God is still the center of my life and my faith in his promises drive me. However, regardless if the people I meet know Jesus or not, we are ALL created in God's image and it is important that we get along and love each other and help each other grow in our gifts and passions. We are all moved by different things and we all agree we live in a crazy world.
After years of living in Asia, years of serving people, years of too much graduate education, years of singleness, and so much more... I am excited to finally return to my passport country of the USA to see how God will use all my experiences to impact the world here. Well, now I am here at Huntington Beach, California... Bring it on!
